Civic Center as an Ecological Isthmus

This project seeks to link two critical habitats of Pacific Spirit Park, in light of uprecedented local population growth. Securing a greenway for flora, flauna and pedestrian 'migration' will reintorduce the importance of the regional ecosystem. A new civic hall, municipal services, and automotive traffic are tucked underneath the land bridge, anticipating increased density. The heart of the design treats ecological and social health as fundementally synonymous with the overall security of a community.
